Hello everyone,

My name is Gil, and I am from Port-au-Prince, Haiti!

I am the President of the Class of 2025 as well as the Vice-President of the African Students Association (PASA). I am also a proud resident of Forbes College (yes, the residential college with a golf course in its backyard!) I am a prospective Sociology major and I hope to pursue certificates in Spanish Language and Culture & Urban Studies. I have a general interest in community organizing and development. I also enjoy learning about literature, language and culture. Outside of classes, I really enjoy cycling around campus, cooking with friends and trying out different boba flavors and spots on Nassau. I look forward to taking you with me on my journey to discover some of the amazing resources and opportunities available on campus.

Community is a big word for me. Be prepared to read a lot about my take on events that bring together diverse people and communities on campus! I will also share thoughts about my experience as a black international student, an avid club volleyball player and language learner.

Feel free to reach out with questions or thoughts!
