Hello everyone! My name is Melissa and I'm from Elizabeth, New Jersey. I am a sophomore in Rockefeller College (the one that looks like Hogwarts). I plan to concentrate in Psychology with potential certificates in Latino/a Studies and Gender and Sexuality Studies. Long-term goal is to go to graduate school and get my PsyD so I can help underserved communities who don't have access to many mental health resources.
On campus, I am a Campus Visit Ambassador for the Admissions Information Center, a Fields Fellow for the Carl A. Fields Center, a core volunteer for SVC: El Centro and a member of PLASA (Princeton Latine American Student Association). I am more than happy to talk about my experience as a first-generation, lower-income (FGLI) student and a Latina on campus but also just what I like to do for fun. I love going on walks, photography, watching movies, karaoke with friends and baking (I make an amazing flan). If you're interested in our access to service opportunities or research, I'd love to share a bit of what I've done so far.
Feel free to reach out to me by email!
